SEQRP-REVIEW
05 June 2008 - South East Queensland Regional Plan Review
The SEQ Regional Plan was promulgated in 2005 and was designed to guide development in the SEQ region to 2026. A review of the plan was to be undertaken every five years, the next review planned for 2009. However, the Premier recently announced that this review would be brought forward one year and the process would begin immediately. Extensive public consultation is planned and a draft new plan will be exhibited for comment in December this year. As a prelude to the preparation of this draft, the Government has invited the public to nominate key issues to be considered as part of this review. Development Watch has responded to this invitation.
