The Integrated Planning Act 1997 governs the development process in Queensland. You can download a copy by going to Queensland Government Integrated Planning Act 1997 then click on Sustainable Planning Act 2009 (SPA)
The Integrated Planning Regulation 1988 provides details on how the act is to be applied. For instance, it details the information that must be given to the public for impact assessable developments. You can download a copy by clicking here
Master Plans
The South East Queensland Regional Plan has recently been published by the Queensland Governments Office of Urban Management. This plan will guide development in South East Queensland until 2026 and will be reviewed every five years. You can obtain a printed copy (free) by going to SEQ Regional Plan 2009-2031 (pdf 3.6 MB)
Maroochy Plan 2000 is the town plan for Maroochy Shire. It came into being on 30 June 2000. However, developers were given a two-year period of grace to submit applications under the less rigorous superseded planning scheme. You can view Maroochy Plan 2000 online at - Maroochy Plan 2000
