I support the aims of Development Watch Inc, which are:
to prevent inappropriate development in the Coolum district;
to encourage greater public involvement in development issues;
to increase public awareness of important development issues;
to work closely with our elected officials and Council staff to ensure the consequences of development proposals are accurately assessed;
to monitor Council’s planning and decision-making processes;
to promote population growth management practices;
to influence local economic development efforts towards local small businesses;
to encourage policies and planning practices that enhance our quality of life; and
to encourage policies and planning practices that preserve our regional ecology for the enjoyment of future generations.
